Condoms
Condoms can be made for both male and females. Males wear them on their penis and women’s are inserted into the vagina. Spermicide is a substance that can be found on some condoms that inactivates sperm. Condoms are the only method of birth control (besides abstinence) that provides some STI protection.

Diaphragm and Cervical Cap
These methods are flexible, cap and cup shaped disks that cover the cervix. It required a doctor’s exam and prescription. There is no STI protection!
