An emotion is a feeling that occurs in response to and event as an experienced by an individual. Some emotions are present in people at birth, like affection, anger and fear. Others, like envy and prejudice are learned. Feelings are natural and they are not “wrong,” they are acceptable and healthy. The 6 major emotions are love, happy, sad, fear, anger and guilt.
