The Wellness Continuum
The Wellness continuum refers to the status of a person's range of states. You are NOT simply healthy or unhealthy.....as it is not a dichotomy. Rather, it is the balance of the health states that determines where you fall on the health continuum; generally this continuum usually lies between the two extremes of optimal and poor. By analyzing your Wellness Wheel you can determine where your health is out of balance. What you do with that information is your own personal responsibility. A person's lifestyle choices can potentially make it better or worse.
Continued poor lifestyle choices can have an affect on the way a person looks and feels and how the body performs; this is termed physiological age. What 6 factors do you think have the greatest effect on physiological age? Over time, these choices can lead to lifestyle diseases.
